Born and Raised in Flint, Michigan in 1963, Creason discovered that he had a talent for identifying and recreating images at age 11 when he drew an exact replica of a cartoon from the newspaper using colored pencils. He escaped a troubled childhood of his parents alcohol induced fights, trauma brought on by his older brother’s serious injury in a car accident, and difficulty fitting in with friends. Creason would put on his headphones and draw for hours each day. He accredits Norman Rockwell as one of his inspirations as he would often duplicate his works as a young boy.
